PRINTING SPECIFICATIONS & INFORMATION

The printing of our bags can be achieved when you order as few as 1 case or as many as your imagination will allow. When you print or hot stamp short run, the process is a hand fed one at a time procedure that requires finesse and is done on bags that have been already converted.

Brown and white bags can either be printed or hot stamped while the matte colors or glossy shopping bags can only be hot stamped. Please provide us with black and white illustrator files as a PDF saved as a vector file and be sure to outline all the fonts.

Use the recommended sizing chart which follows to determine the appropriate printing areas available. Choose from the ink colors or hot stamping foil colors listed below. The delivery period is normally 2-3 weeks after art approval. Rush service is also available, please be sure to inquire. Remember, during the holiday season lead times may vary.

Logo/Art Colors

You can choose from our stock palette of ink colors, otherwise if there is a specific PMS color that you would like to use we would be able to match it for a $135 ink matching fee.

Matte Foils: Red, Dark Blue, White, Dark Green, Ivory, Black, Burgundy, Dark Brown, Orange, Pink, Silver, Gold

Bag Pricing

Our entire catalog of bags is on the internet at DiscountShoppingBags.com You will find the prices for the bags there, they are the lowest on the internet.

Refer to the style of bag and you will get a list of available sizes. Bags are sold per case, and while most cases of shopping bags contain 250 bags, some contain 200. Most merchandise bags come in cases of 1000 while the larger sizes are 500 bags per case. We also offer an innovative line of 100% recycled Kraft shopping bags.

Printing or Hot Stamping

As mentioned before, we offer two ways to customize your bags; printing with ink, or hot stamping with a foil. Ink looks great on most bags, however hot stamping offers a much crisper and cleaner look and adds a bit of texture similar to embossing. Always keep in mind that darker colored bags should only be hot stamped.

Printing and hot stamping fees are charged per thousand bags. The minimum we will print is just 1 case of bags (200 bags). So the printing or hot stamping fee for 200 bags will be the same as for 1000 bags.

Printing

Printing Fees are as follows and are the same for all sizes of Shopping bags.

1 color ink on 1 side of the bag: $150 up to 1,000 bags.

1 color ink on 2 sides of the bag: $240 up to 1,000 bags.

2 colors ink on 1 side of the bag: $240 up to 1,000 bags.

Hot Stamping

Hot Stamping Fees are as follows and change depending on the size and style of the bag. Prices cover up to 1,000 bags.

Bag Sizes: 1 through 4

1 color foil on 1 side of the bag: $160 for up to 1,000 bags

1 color foil on 2 sides of the bag ( or 2 colors on 1 side ): $320 for up to 1,000 bags

Bag Sizes: 5 through 7

1 color foil on 1 side of the bag: $170 for up to 1,000 bags

1 color foil on 2 sides of the bag ( or 2 colors on 1 side ): $340 for up to 1,000 bags

Bag Sizes: 8 and up

1 color foil on 1 side of the bag: $180 for up to 1,000 bags

1 color foil on 2 sides of the bag ( or 2 colors on 1 side ): $360 for up to 1,000 bags

Plates

Printing bags requires "printing plates" to be made on the first order. These plates will cost anywhere between $50-$150 each depending on the size of the image being printed. You do have the option of using one plate on several sizes of bags however the printed image will be the same size on all sizes of bags. It is not uncommon for customers to make just one plate for several small sizes of bags and one plate for a couple of the larger sizes. The same applies for hot stamping; however the plates used in hot stamping are referred to as "dies".

Artwork/Logo

When creating your logo, keep in mind that to make the printing plates we need the file to be in the following format:

A PDF vector file with all lines and texts completely outlined. We have the capability to enlarge or reduce logo sizes. We will provide you with a digital proof that will show you the positioning and size of your logo on the bags.

Lead Times

3 weeks. We can accommodate most rush orders for an additional fee. Just about anything is possible; please call us with your requirements. Please remember, depending on where your shipment is going, you will need to allow up to 6 days for shipping.
